3. Data Collection when Downloading the App

When you download our app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, the necessary information is transferred to the respective store operator (Google Ireland Limited or Apple Distribution International Ltd.). This includes, in particular, your user name in the store, email address, time of download, and individual device identification number. We have no influence on this data collection and are not responsible for it. We only process this provided data as far as is necessary for downloading the app to your mobile device.

4. Registration and Login Options

We do not offer a classic registration with an email address and a password chosen by you. To use the functions of the app, we offer the following alternatives instead:

a) Anonymous Login
If you wish to use the app without linking it to a third-party account, an anonymous login will be performed. Here, only a device-specific, anonymous ID is created and processed to assign your app settings or progress locally or in our database. It is impossible for us to trace this back to your real identity. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

b) Google Sign-In
You can log into our app using "Google Sign-In" provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
If you use this function, you will be redirected to Google. After successful authentication, Google shares certain data with us (usually your email address and name) to create and manage your profile in our app. Google also processes data during this process (including IP address, device information).
A data transfer to the USA by Google is possible. This is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the EU Commission) and, if applicable, standard contractual clauses.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

c) Apple Sign-In (Sign in with Apple)
Alternatively, we offer login via "Sign in with Apple" provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland.
Here you have the option to hide your real email address from us and instead transmit a random email address generated by Apple. We only receive the data you have approved (name and, if applicable, real or pseudonymized email address) as well as a unique ID from Apple for account creation.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

5. Contact Form in the App

If you send us inquiries via the contact form within the app, your details from the form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of requests addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

6. Storage Duration

We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the stated purposes (e.g., providing your account, processing inquiries) or as required by statutory storage periods. Once the respective purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with statutory provisions. If you delete your account in the app, the associated profile data will be deleted immediately.

You have the following rights at any time within the framework of the applicable legal provisions of the GDPR:
